Happy to have the opportunity of putting together the Hospice Niagara Annual Report.

We always enjoy the chance to do some  executive portraits, and the challenge of putting together a milestone publication despite tight deadlines.

Thanks to Alicia Arcangeletti and her staff for bringing all the pieces together.

IMG_0762

We wrote a script for a TV Cogeco 30 second spot to promote the 5 Car Draw.

Walter Sendzik, our honourary chair patiently went through repeated read-throughs to get it just right. And Will Kelly, the supremely talented producer from TV Cogeco did the camera and the editing.

Geddie Advertising has produced all the creative for the 5 Car Draw from billboard artwork, through newspaper and point-of-purchase materials to the TV spot. Need a complete campaign for your company? Give us a call.

Rankings Analysis

  • By admin

Canadian universities are “ranked” by Macleans magazine every year. All the universities that are at the top of the rankings list love it. The ones at the bottom curse it.

Geddie Advertising recently sent a direct mailer to all Canadian universities, offering assistance with their Macleans rankings evaluations. We have Arthur Stephen on staff, and Arthur is the recognized Canadian expert on university rankings. From the day the first university rankings were released in 1991, Arthur Stephen has analyzed and interpreted rankings with productive results. In the early ranking years he was instrumental in convincing Macleans’ editors to make significant changes to their methodology.

Arthur is adept at reviewing rankings over multiple years to help institutions understand where they stand relative to competitors, and more importantly how they might improve their positioning in future years.

Arthur has assisted colleges and universities with rankings analyses in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. If you’d benefit from a review of your college or university’s positioning, please contact us to arrange a meeting to discuss how this might work for you.

This is just one more service available from Geddie Advertising to assist universities and colleges who are anxious to improve their reputation, identity and image.

We’ve done many aerial photos over the years for several clients. I usually fly the plane and bring Dave Walker from Big Sky Aerial Photography along to shoot.

We recently delivered this aerial photo, printed 4 feet by 6 feet to one of our university clients. Think you could use an aerial photo for your business, company or institution? Give us a call.

Woodworking Magic

We have two clients in the woodworking business – Tremont Wood Products and Dekker Stairs.

Tremont originally did custom joinery for yacht interiors. They’ve since branched out into custom office and home wood products. All very high end.

Dekker Stairs builds custom stairs for people who care a great deal about doing things uniquely and distinctively. Their custom staircases are usually only one component of a very special home, apartment or office. Usually with a prestigious address.

I don’t know if either of them has ever built a custom table like this, but isn’t it amazing craftsmanship?

Seasons Change

DSC_1583

12 Mile Creek runs through St. Catharines year round as the water rushes from the DeCew generating station on the edge of the escarpment through to Martindale Pond and eventually Port Dalhousie and Lake Ontario. The waterflow is consistent, but the scenery along the banks varies dramatically with the seasons. Both photos were taken from the abandoned bridge at the foot of St. Paul Crescent below Rodman hall. Both were taken just after sunrise on a weather-heavy morning.
